Pleiades is back as Pleiades Eco, and even better than before with an all new, more environmentally friendly fibre content, but just as soft, and virtually indistinguishable from the old version so you can use it interchangeably with Pleiades Original.
Sweetly soft and durable socks! Pleiades wool-free sock yarn is the ideal yarn for not only socks, but shawls accessories and garments too. Because of the elastic content, this yarn holds it's shape wonderfully, so its a great yarn if you're not used to using yarns that drape, like 100% bamboo and Tencel. This yarn blooms with washing, meaning it softens, and fills in gaps, so it gets softer, and hides stitch imperfections. An excellent choice for colourworking/intarsia.
Machine wash cold/cold for best results. Wash separately the first time, do not soak or wet block unless previously washed and rinsed thoroughly. Using a washing machine on cold for the first wash is the best way to keep the colours looking bright and fresh, and to prevent backstaining, especially with high contrast colours.
The gauge is heavy fingering, so it can be used for nice plushy socks, or light sport projects.
